Coronavirus: WTH Is Happening!

Mar 26, 2020

You guys, this is some serious sh*t!

On this special BONUS episode of the PUSH Podcast we’re talking to you all about the Coronavirus and WHAT we can do to better support one another, how we can come together as a community, and HOW we can come out of this BETTER, STRONGER and ON TOP!

Trust us, we’re in it just like you…

  • Our daughter’s prom was cancelled…
  • We moved our oldest out of her college dorm last week and she couldn’t finish her freshman year away at college.
  • My brother and soon to be sister in law had to CANCEL their May 9th wedding
  • We had to cancel 12 events we had scheduled throughout the country this year, (which means we have over $12,000 tied up with venues that we CAN NOT get back!)
  • And, I had  to postpone the SALE of my bakery… (And honestly, who knows what will even happen with business from here…)

With all that, WE STILL WANTED TO REMIND YOU THAT THERE ARE BEAUTIFUL BLESSINGS right in front of our eyes right now!

Although we are not medical p...

How To Push Past Overwhelm With Ari Meisel

Mar 17, 2020

Imagine waking up one day thinking you have a common cold but then the illness never goes away.  You become frustrated, irritated, miserable, and maybe even you start losing hope of ever getting better.  Or even worse, what if you were told you could die?

Now think about the things that you would do instead because of the amount of time you have left.

That scenario is exactly what happened to our guest this week, Ari Meisel, after he was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. He decided he needed to make changes in order to survive. He realized with the time his body would physically allow him to work, he needed to find ways to optimize his time. In short, his disease inspired him to do less. He began optimizing, automating, and outsourcing all of his daily tasks in his business and life to be able to accomplish the things that mattered most to him at the time of his diagnosis; allowing him to limit the stresses of everyday life.

Here’s an idea of what Eddie, Arie & I discuss...

How To Be A Quitter

Mar 10, 2020

In life, most of us grow up in a society where the term failure carries a negative meaning. If we fail we immediately take the idea of failure and make it meaningful to our own identity. We start telling ourselves, “you failed because you’re not smart,” or “you failed because you’re not pretty enough.”

From a young age, we’re told that we have to follow a specific path that will lead to our purpose and what we’re supposed to do in life. We stick to what we’re comfortable and what we’re good at because failure isn’t an option. We know that if we stick in our comfort zones that we will continually be successful. But when we do that, we sacrifice our future selves and what we could be.

We stick to this idea of conformity so much that it’s nearly impossible to leave what we have, to try something else that can make us happy and more fulfilled.

In this episode, we sit down with Goli Kalkhoran,a lawyer-turned-entrepreneur and the host of the Lessons from a Quitter Podcast. As...

When You’re Just Done! And How To Push Into The Next Level Of Your Life!

Feb 28, 2020

Friends! Why are we so caught up in the FEAR of everything? Some of us are scared to make that career change, some of us are scared to make that big investment (even if it’s in ourselves, might I add). Maybe  you’re scared to have a DIFFERENT perspective than your friends & family, and some of us are even scared to just say NO!

But this year is different! I’ve got 2020 vision and I’m seeing the life I envision for myself CLEARLY! And I want  you to too!

Today is a HUGE day for myself and my family, because I’m announcing one of the biggest transitions of my life… I’m selling The Cake Mamas!!!

YES, the bakery I built in 2009, based off a little dream, from my home, with ZERO DOLLARS to my name, with my husband’s EX, and zero knowledge of the food/baking industry! (STUPID, right?!)

The bakery that has employed over 100 talented bakers, decorators and amazing customer service providers for the past 10+ years!

The bakery that my kids grew up in! (That TRUTHFULLY, ca...

How To Push Past Rejection!

Feb 25, 2020

“Rejection doesn’t mean you aren’t good enough; it means the other person failed to notice what you have to offer” -Mark Amend

We all suffer from rejection! Rejection in relationships, rejection in the workplace, and even rejection of ourselves! Rejection is what you make of it.

You can either look at rejection as being not good enough or not deserving. Or you can look at rejection as the universe simply telling you, not yet.

So many of us choose to suffer in our comfort zones, unhappy, and feeling a lack of motivation throughout our daily lives because we are so scared to face rejection. We’re terrified of the consequences we “might” face; the disapproval of our ideas, the lack of belief in our ideas, and being told you’re not good enough or deserving.

We seek answers on how to push past rejection, when in reality the only way to become confident is to be REJECTED! Imagine being told no hundreds of times over again, eventually you’re going to get used to being to...

Punishment Or Preparation? 40 Years of Pushing Through With Dr. Jim Reeve

Feb 11, 2020

Faith is a touchy subject for a lot of people. Either you’re a BIG believer in faith, you have some faith, or you don’t have faith at all. It’s really up to the individual. However, for me, faith is something that has kept me in constant gratitude and has been something I have turned to in times of struggle, animosity, and fear of failure.

We all turn to faith for different reasons, whether we do or not.

This week we’re diving into the idea of faith with the help of our guest, Dr. Jim Reeve.

Jim is the founding pastor of Faith Community  Church, which has served his community for more than 40 years!

Not only has Jim had a HUGE impact on our lives, but he was an influential part in saving our marriage years ago.

Being that this is the Push Podcast, we’re not only going to touch on his spiritual side but we’re also gaining insight into his approach to life and his greatest influences.

To give you an idea, here's a breakdown of what Eddie & I discussed…
