Never give up! Never lose faith! Everything happens for a reason... Right?! I'm a firm believer of this saying... We may not understand why we have to walk a certain path or why when it rains, it pours but trust that God has a plan! "Walk by faith, not by sight."
We must lose in order to gain. Lessons are best taught through our darkest hour. Through crying and defeat. Through sorrow and loss. All of my pain or sadness has only built my strength, soul, character and wisdom. One day, all of our trials and tribulations will add up and make perfect sense.
Until that day comes, learn to laugh at confusion and dance in the rain. "The pain that you have been feeling, can't compare to the joy that's coming" Romans 8:18

There’s a message that’s been sitting on my heart.
I think it might be for you.
In case you didn’t know, I started my business with NO MONEY. My husband and I had lost our jobs and had $0 coming in. We went from 2 six-figure incomes to absolutely NOTHING!
When I tell you that it was the BIGGEST BLESSING of my life, it is no lie!
I know it sounds crazy, but NOT having the money you need to start your business can be the biggest blessing of all!
Because you’ll be resourceful, you’ll leverage every relationship and connection you have! You’ll be scrappy, frugal and you’ll stretch every penny! And you’ll work your ASS OFF! (IF you really want it that bad!)
*I often talk about the fact that businesses REQUIRE money to start. But can it be done with very little? YES. It will just take a little longer to grow. (SO WHAT!?!? That’s called being faithful over few! But more about that later!)

In Jan 2014 my "NY's Resolution" was to focus more on myself and the things that made me happy. Like working out, feeling good in my clothes (and OUT of my clothes too), having more energy, and getting to a place where I COULD be consistent and juggle everything (my business, my fitness goals, my family's health, kids, relationships, career, etc, etc.)
I struggled with prioritizing and managing my time around my fitness goals until around August 2014. (MOMMIES always come last!) But in August, I told myself that “I HAD to get my life together" and revise my plan! So I started waking up between 4:45-5AM every day to MAKE my workouts a priority. And I stuck with it.
YES, I know that waking up before dawn COMPLETELY SUCKS! BUT, when you want something that bad, and you are 100% committed to it, and when your original plan DOESN’T work, then you change the plan, suck it up, and do what’s necessary!
In November, after attending my cousin Vickie's bodybuilding show,...
“You took a risk.
You created a hypothesis, guessed or estimated the effect of an idea.
You tested, you tried, you researched, you worked hard, you put yourself out there, you followed your passion, you were BRAVE!
It’s not about the accomplishment, or lack of... It’s about you TRYING and taking the first step!
That’s how you get recognition!
That’s how you create a gap between you and everyone else! Thats how you create amazing things! That’s how you solve problems for the world! That’s how you take the first few scary steps towards massive growth, discovery and success!!!
By trying and testing scary things that may or may not work!
You are absolutely amazing for that!”
This was the speech at the Los Angeles County Science and Engineering Fair last night, where my daughter Jordan and hundreds of other young, future scientist and engineers received recognition and awards for their achievements in discovery!
Do YOU play into the narrative that WOMEN are catty, gossipy, bitchy, rude to one another?...
Although it may come from HOW YOU WERE RAISED, YOU have the power to stop it and not let it continue in the generations to come.
But it starts with YOU.

Some of you need to get better at taking advice or feedback. PERIOD. Some of you immediately become DEFENSIVE anytime someone proposes a new idea or viewpoint, OR anytime someone expresses disapproval or points out opportunities or mistakes you’ve made. .
When really, THIS IS HOW YOU GROW! .
GROWTH is uncomfortable and requires new perspectives, a new mindset, new ways of thinking, new ways of reacting and digesting information or feedback that may be different from what you’ve done or known to be true in the past. .
So I’ll ask you this: Are you open to feedback? Are you open to constructive criticism? Are you allowing...

Where do you spend your energy?...
Are you focusing on daily annoyances or focused on you GOALS?
Life is what you make it! You can not always control your circumstance, BUT you can control how you deal with things.
I have noticed a lot of joking and complaining about clients with Pinterest dreams, but Walmart budgets. YES this sucks and I get how this can be annoying...
But why waste so much time on them???...Dwelling on the negative, and perpetuating your frustrations??? Where exactly does that get you??? How exactly does that fix your situation???
When a customer declines to do business with you, or declines your prices or offerings, they are simply choosing to not be your client. And that’s that.
Nike doesn’t complain about al the customers who prefer to shop at Adidas.. Instead, they move on and focus on attracting the clients they need to stay in business.

How are YOU asking questions? Where are YOU focusing your energy?
In the same vain of last week's Thursday Thoughts, where we discussed why it’s UNPRODUCTIVE to complain about clients who simply can not afford you... I want to challenge you to reflect on what you complain about. (Both, in LIFE and in BUSINESS).
When you make a 'vent' or 'rant' post in this group (which P.S. is NOT at all what this group is for), where does that get you??
When you complain in your everyday life, where does that get you???
What you focus on is what you will attract. If you are constantly complaining about your customers and the struggles of owning a business, how does that reflect on you?
What that tells me is that YOU HAVE NOOOOO IDEA what hard work it is to be a business owner! You have NOOOO IDEA the amount of roadblocks and difficulties you’ll be faced with as a business owner! But it also tells me that it’s likely you won’t even make it to...
It’s a BOX.
You know what happens every time you try to step outside of it???
1. You freak out, get scared, can’t stand being UNCOMFORTABLE, then you jump right back into it! Right where it’s SAFE.
2. You freak out, get scared, can’t stand being UNCOMFORTABLE, make your way back to the box, maybe even put one foot back INTO the box, BUT THEN
....Then you talk yourself OUT of climbing back in the box! (Probably because you see my face lookin at you crazy!)... So then you Man/WOMAN-UP, turn around, start to slowly inch your way away from that box, REALIZE you’re ok, realize you HAVENT DIED YET, look back at the box, then turn away, take ONE STEP away from it, and then BOOM! ....
SOMETHING MAGICAL HAPPENS!!!!
Something that would have NEEEEEVVVVVER happened if you were inside of that stupid freaken box!!!
And then just like THAT, you’re like, “OMG!... It was soooo worth it!I’ve been MISSING OUT on LIFE...
Are you feeling overwhelmed by this week’s tasks?
Are you stressed about ALL the STUFF you have to do???
Are you racking your brain on how to drive sales? What emails to follow up on? What invoices to send out?
Are you spacing out about what to do next?
Are you distracted and spending time on things you KNOW you shouldn’t?…
Having a cluttered brain that wants to do it ALL can usually result in doing ‘busy’ work, (*work that makes you "LOOK" BUSY, but is really just getting you nowhere).
So here’s a tip: DON’T CONFUSE ACTIVITY with RESULTS.
Let me say that again:
DON’T CONFUSE ACTIVITY with RESULTS.
Focussing on the things that will actually move you CLOSER to your sales goals, or the things that truly need to get done, is the only way to see true RESULTS.
BUSY people are rarely successful.
Why you ask?… Because BUSY PEOPLE are so “busy” trying to juggle things, that they don’t have much TRUE FOCUS....
