ALL Things Money- Debt, Saving, Budgeting & Earning For 2022

Dec 07, 2021

Would you agree that most people wish and pray for more money?

Back in 2009, we were those people. We filed for bankruptcy, we both lost our 6-figure corporate jobs and had NO idea how we were going to pay our bills.

The thing is, people think that making more money will help alleviate debt, have a bigger house, or be better off; when in reality, all they need to know is how to make their money WORK for them.

Something we had NO IDEA how to do 10 years ago.

That’s why in this week’s PUSH we’re sharing all our MONEY TIPS so you can be more organized and financially literate as we enter into the new year.

Here’s a breakdown of what Eddie and I discussed…

Why you need to start treating your household finances like a business (11:11)

Stay in your lane (13:47)

The first step to climbing out of debt (16:29)

How to create a realistic budget (25:41)

Track and record all your expenses (29:06)

Set up an emergency fund (31:47)...

Chaos vs. Joy- How To PUSH Through The Holidays!

Dec 01, 2021

What do the holidays mean to you?

Does it mean laughing with friends and family?

Does it mean eating all the holiday treats?

Does it mean shopping all the holiday sales?

Or maybe it brings about anxiety and overwhelm? Or even sadness and grief?

For myself, the holidays are centered around my five favorite “F” words…

Fitness (fitness is last because I’m all about the holiday treats)

I look forward to the holidays every year because it means spending unplugged quality time with my family and the people I love the most. It also means eating a SH*T ton of delicious meals, laughing til we cry, and celebrating our favorite traditions.

However, I know everyone doesn’t celebrate the holidays like I do and that’s OKAY! For some people, the holidays are a challenging time because it triggers loss, sadness, and grief. It can also feel really overwhelming and stressful with all the...

Finding Joy Outside Of Your Comfort Zone!

Nov 23, 2021

When was the last time you did something completely out of your comfort zone? Or maybe a better question is: when was the last time you challenged yourself to do something that made you uncomfortable?

If you can’t remember the last time you’ve purposely put yourself in a situation that you knew would be unfamiliar and possibly uncomfortable then friend you may be robbing yourself of joy.

The truth is, when we go beyond what’s familiar in life and what’s comfortable we open ourselves up to new experiences and opportunities. When you close yourself off to trying new things and constantly seeking familiarity we can missout on new things that can bring us fulfillment and joy; and friend, we don’t want that for you.

In this episode, we’re sharing how the key to happiness can be found by getting outside of your comfort zone and embracing the unknown.

Here’s a breakdown of what Eddie and I...

Holding A Grudge? How To Release It!

Nov 16, 2021

Question: How do you respond when you’re faced with conflict?

Do you face the conflict head on? Do you take a few days to think about the situation and then address it? Or do you completely avoid it?

If you’re the type to completely avoid it you may also  be the type who is prone to holding grudges.

While everybody is susceptible to holding a grudge, some personality types are more prone to it. They might be doing it as a coping mechanism or they simply don’t know how to release it when they feel they’ve been wronged.

The truth is, holding grudges is one of the most common ways people respond when dealing with conflict in relationships and in life. Some of us even hold grudges to the point where it begins to impact our mental and physical health.

This is why it’s so important to learn how to navigate conflict and discover the root of why you can’t move on.

Finding The Calm In The Midst Of Chaos With Jeff Banman

Nov 09, 2021

Let’s be real… life can be a freaking handful.

Some days it’s busy, some days it's manageable, and other days you just wanna crawl into a ball and sleep all damn day. You feel me?

I’ve found this is especially true when you’re trying to manage all the things. Most of us are juggling family, business, relationships, plus all the other things we’ve added to our plates so it makes sense that we crumble when we’re faced with stressful situations.

One thing I do know based on my past experience is remaining calm and finding peace during moments like these can be difficult, but it doesn’t mean it’s impossible.

To help us breakdown this concept we’re excited to bring on our special guest, Jeff Banman to the podcast.

Jeff is currently the COO at Brute Force Training and a high-performance coach. He is also a recognized leader in the field of human behavior and performance in high-stress environments....

7 Reasons Why You’re Tired All The Damn Time With Dr. Saundra Dalton Smith

Nov 02, 2021

If you’ve been listening to the podcast for awhile then you know that we’re HUGE proponents of REST days!

We don’t mean just taking naps in the middle of the work-day or taking a day off here and there. When we talk about rest we’re talking about being intentional and pouring your energy into the areas of your life that you may feel overwhelmed or overworked in.

Most of us are programmed to grind culture. You get up everyday, work your 40 hours and get a paycheck. You also may be starting your business and working day in and day out to turn your passion into a full-time job but then end up becoming resentful.

This is when rest is important.

Just like healing your body after a heavy work-out is essential for your health, taking time to rest, reflect, and rejuvenate is also crucial to your mental well-being.

To help us dive into this topic deeper, we’re excited to welcome a special guest...

Have you ever questioned what type of life you want to live?

Not just in terms of money or family, but in terms of peace, stress, or happiness?

Figuring out your priorities and what aligns with the type of life you want to live is crucial to how you view the world and the perspective you have of it.

An important aspect of learning this is accessing the meaning that you apply to different scenarios and situations and how it impacts how you perceive the world.

Here’s a breakdown of what Eddie and I discussed…

  • You catch more bees with honey (08:09)
  • Shifting your perspective (12:58)
  • Are you making things permanent when they’re not? (14:11)
  • Don’t speak in absolutes (15:28)

From VICTIMHOOD To SELF-AWARENESS: 5 Steps To Help You Take Control

Oct 19, 2021

Do you ever feel like everything that happens in your life is happening TO YOU? Like no matter what you do, you can’t catch a break or whenever things finally start to go your way something happens and you’re faced with another problem or obstacle?

If you feel this way, you may be playing the victim.

Let me esplain…

Sh*t happens in life. We can pray for a problem-free life over and over again, the reality is as long as we’re living problems are going to erupt. They are what help us grow and push us into different seasons of our life and mold us into the people we’re meant to be.

Some of us take those problems as opportunities to learn and grow. While others see problems as the world coming down on us and preventing us from accomplishing the things we want.

The thing is, just because you’re in a tough season and are being tested with different obstacles, doesn’t mean that you aren’t meant for success or...

Feeling Lonely & Left Out? Why Loneliness Is HAZARDOUS To Your Mental Health!

Oct 12, 2021

If you clicked on this episode, I think it’s safe to assume that maybe you’re feeling a bit lonely in this season of life right now and friend I’m here to tell you, you’re not alone.

In fact, the reason we decided to record this episode on loneliness is because I’m dealing with this feeling right now and I truly believe a lot of us could use some hope and inspiration to start rebuilding and seeking connection.

Coming off the pandemic with most of us sheltering at home, focusing on our own things; the topic of mental health has become a HUGE issue in our world.

As humans, we’re meant to be social and we NEED and thrive off human interaction. Without that, we tend to turn our feelings and thoughts inward and we try to handle all the things by ourselves, which can be overwhelming.

Although, self-independence is important and finding solitude with yourself helps you become more aware of who you are; connection and love is a...

This blog is a PSA to remind you that no matter what you may think or feel, no one is perfect.

No one has every single part of their life figured out. No one prioritizes every life category in a single season. So give yourself some grace when you feel bad for not having it all figured out.

I bring this up to you because this week’s episode is about procrastination and more often than not, we’re procrastinating in one of the life categories.

You could be doing great in some categories and lagging in others but overall, we all procrastinate. The purpose of this episode is to help you realize what life category you’re procrastinating in and how you can take steps towards making it a priority.

Here’s a breakdown of what Eddie and I discussed…

  • How food ruins your cognition (08:24)
  • You get results or reasons (12:59)
  • Procrastination is a form of self-sabotage (15:18)
