I'm an Artist, Educator, Multi-passionate Entrepreneur, and Founder of The Cake Mamas.
I TEACH SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS HOW TO CREATE UNSTOPPABLE BRANDS AND INCREASE THEIR PROFITS!
Because let's face it... If you're not making money, your business doesn't make sense.
Letās talk about currency!Ā
I truly believe there are three types of currency in our lives!Ā
Sure we all value money. When we grow up we turn our wild āwanna beā dreams into what ādreamsā will make us the most money. Am I right to think this?Ā
Look at this wayā¦
When we ask kids what they want to be when they grow up they always say something crazy like a superhero. And then when reality hits them and they start to grow up, their dreams start to become more realistic.Ā
But when weāre younger we donāt think about the other types of currency cause weāre so programmed to think about the big picture; MONEY!Ā
So weāre here to offer a different perspective. What if we eliminate money from the picture and instead we choose to value time and quality!
Hereās a breakdown of what Eddie and I discussedā¦
One of our greatest enemies in life is time. People always complain that we never have āenoughā time. Or we wait for the āperfectā time? But really we do have enough time, we just donāt use it wisely enough and to be honest, there is no such thing as a āperfectā time; you just have to decide when.Ā
Ā
To be blunt, time isnāt always on your side. Which means that you just have to roll with it and do it anyway. Hence, showing up when your back is against the wall! Just show up and show out.Ā
Ā
We got into this idea and more in this weekās episode of the PUSH Podcast!Ā

When was the last time you broke a commitment?Ā
Iāll tell you, mine was a few days ago.Ā
Ā
If you follow me on social media then you know that at the beginning of this month I started a 30-day Yoga challenge. Not because I wanted to lose weight or become healthier (although those are HUGE pluses). I did it because I wanted to show up for myself and prove that I could stay committed to something not because I had to but because I was determined to show myself some self-love and build confidence.Ā
Ā
I wasnāt angry with myself that I broke that commitment. I wasnāt disappointed either. Instead, I was more eager to get back on track and finish out the challenge.Ā
Ā
As humans, specifically women, we get so down on ourselves whenever we ābreakā a commitment. It cruses our self-esteem and we immediately beat ourselves up to the point where weāre practicing negative self-talk.Ā
Ā
Iām here to tell you itās OKAY to break a commitment, but when you do it continuously thatās when you ma...
Hopelessness is a theme that keeps recurring especially during this time of uncertainty. But what do you do when you fall into hopelessness?Ā
Ā
Thereās so many self-help tips and tricks out there but everyone is different. Which begs the questions, what tip and trick is right for you?Ā
Ā
In this episode, weāre giving you our top 20 ways to help you regain hope.Ā

Have you ever just held onto something for so long that you donāt see anyway you can get rid of it now because youāve had it for so long?Ā
Ā
Well that was Eddie and I over this past weekend and we did it...
We FINALLY decided to cut our losses and get rid of our āmust havesā that we havenāt touched in YEARS!Ā
Ā
For Eddie that would be his DVD/BluRay collection and for me, itās my HUNDREDS of CDās.Ā
Although Eddie had more trouble letting go than I did, itās hard to let go of something that had so much VALUE to you in another season of your life.Ā
Ā
Those valuables become almost a part of you and when you let them go, youāre releasing that part of who you used to be. For many of us, itās difficult to let go and release that part of ourselves.Ā
Ā

Have you ever had a conversation with your significant other, best friend, or relative and realized about halfway through that there was no way you were going to agree with the decision made.Ā
Ā
Weāve all been there; including myself and Eddie, but thatās why I believe our relationship is so great. Thereās a mutual respect for one anotherās opinion and ultimately weāre able to show one another a new perspective on what weāre discussing.Ā
Ā
Why I bring this up now is because we were discussing a book we were reading with our PUSHER Society (if you havenāt joined or heard about it, you should definitely get in ASAP š) and it triggered a conversation that I completely disagree with.Ā
Ā
In the book it discusses that we create everything twice in our lifetime, but for me I believe that life is ever-changing and ever-evolving, and itās up to us to recreate and revise what we see for our lives as we move forward.Ā

Being stuck in quarantine has resulted in some very unpredictable behavior from the Copelands! Am I alone in this?Ā
Ā
Ever since quarantine started, Eddie and I have been doing things that are way out of our character! Weāve been watching t.v. (which normally NEVER HAPPENS)! Iāve been gardening, which if youāve asked me at the beginning of this year if I considered myself to have a green thumb, I would have called you INSANE!) And Eddie has been playing basketball! Honestly, WTH is going on!Ā
Ā
I donāt know what this world is coming too but ever since this quarantine has started, Iāve been learning things about myself that I never knew I had in me; and to be honest, Iām all for it!Ā
This week on the podcast weāre getting REAL about our current obsessions and just random sh*t weāve been experiencing during this quarantine.Ā

Friendships are pretty tricky arenāt they?Ā
Thereās seasons for every type of friendship. Itās almost as if you have to put them into categories. You have your friends that you grew up with (the ones you share the BIG memories with), your work friends, your gym friends, friends in your neighborhood or friends from church.Ā
Ā
Then thereās the friends that represent what stage of life youāre in. There are your growth friends who are all about growing and mindset work and practicing higher level thinking. Thereās your party friends who you just wanna go out with on a Friday night. Then thereās the friends you go to when you just need to feel vulnerable and vent about a shitty situation.Ā
Ā
One thing they all have in common though is that each relationship is meaningful, no matter the category. Meaningful relationships require effort, attention to detail and need to be nurtured.Ā
Ā
This week weāre discussing friendships and giving you the opportunity to self-reflect and really ask...
Are your daily actions and mindset contributing to your life? Are you actively attracting your goals and how you want your life to play out?Ā
Ā
Did you know that your thoughts, positive or negative, are adding to the type of life you create for yourself.Ā
Ā
Fun fact: the universe conspires to give you what you want and what you donāt want. Consciously or not, the more effort you put into your thoughts, the more energy youāre putting into creating those moments.
Ā
Hereās a breakdown of what Eddie and I discussedā¦Ā
The way you envision your life doesnāt always go as planned. As humans we do it all the time. We decide on a goal, life plans, and how we envision the journey to get there; and then in an instant, nothing goes as you pictured it.Ā
Ā
Our guest on this weekās PUSH, Amber Spiegel knows exactly what that feels like. But her determination and constant focus on what she wanted to do for her life kept her from falling into the hole failure.Ā
Ā
Weāre talking to Amber about her story and how she won the hearts of 2.7 MILLION people, and how her pivot in her career led to her finding her true passion and purpose in the baking community.Ā
