Holding A Grudge? How To Release It!

Nov 16, 2021

Question: How do you respond when you’re faced with conflict?

Do you face the conflict head on? Do you take a few days to think about the situation and then address it? Or do you completely avoid it?

If you’re the type to completely avoid it you may also  be the type who is prone to holding grudges.

While everybody is susceptible to holding a grudge, some personality types are more prone to it. They might be doing it as a coping mechanism or they simply don’t know how to release it when they feel they’ve been wronged.

The truth is, holding grudges is one of the most common ways people respond when dealing with conflict in relationships and in life. Some of us even hold grudges to the point where it begins to impact our mental and physical health.

This is why it’s so important to learn how to navigate conflict and discover the root of why you can’t move on.

Finding The Calm In The Midst Of Chaos With Jeff Banman

Nov 09, 2021

Let’s be real… life can be a freaking handful.

Some days it’s busy, some days it's manageable, and other days you just wanna crawl into a ball and sleep all damn day. You feel me?

I’ve found this is especially true when you’re trying to manage all the things. Most of us are juggling family, business, relationships, plus all the other things we’ve added to our plates so it makes sense that we crumble when we’re faced with stressful situations.

One thing I do know based on my past experience is remaining calm and finding peace during moments like these can be difficult, but it doesn’t mean it’s impossible.

To help us breakdown this concept we’re excited to bring on our special guest, Jeff Banman to the podcast.

Jeff is currently the COO at Brute Force Training and a high-performance coach. He is also a recognized leader in the field of human behavior and performance in high-stress environments.

His experience working in the most stressful and demanding occupations helped hi...

7 Reasons Why You’re Tired All The Damn Time With Dr. Saundra Dalton Smith

Nov 02, 2021

If you’ve been listening to the podcast for awhile then you know that we’re HUGE proponents of REST days!

We don’t mean just taking naps in the middle of the work-day or taking a day off here and there. When we talk about rest we’re talking about being intentional and pouring your energy into the areas of your life that you may feel overwhelmed or overworked in.

Most of us are programmed to grind culture. You get up everyday, work your 40 hours and get a paycheck. You also may be starting your business and working day in and day out to turn your passion into a full-time job but then end up becoming resentful.

This is when rest is important.

Just like healing your body after a heavy work-out is essential for your health, taking time to rest, reflect, and rejuvenate is also crucial to your mental well-being.

To help us dive into this topic deeper, we’re excited to welcome a special guest and author, Dr. Saundra Dalton Smith.

Oct 26, 2021

Have you ever questioned what type of life you want to live?

Not just in terms of money or family, but in terms of peace, stress, or happiness?

Figuring out your priorities and what aligns with the type of life you want to live is crucial to how you view the world and the perspective you have of it.

An important aspect of learning this is accessing the meaning that you apply to different scenarios and situations and how it impacts how you perceive the world.

Here’s a breakdown of what Eddie and I discussed…

  • Eddie’s and my what in the world (01:29)
  • You catch more bees with honey (08:09)
  • Shifting your perspective (12:58)

From VICTIMHOOD To SELF-AWARENESS: 5 Steps To Help You Take Control

Oct 19, 2021

Do you ever feel like everything that happens in your life is happening TO YOU? Like no matter what you do, you can’t catch a break or whenever things finally start to go your way something happens and you’re faced with another problem or obstacle?

If you feel this way, you may be playing the victim.

Let me esplain…

Sh*t happens in life. We can pray for a problem-free life over and over again, the reality is as long as we’re living problems are going to erupt. They are what help us grow and push us into different seasons of our life and mold us into the people we’re meant to be.

Some of us take those problems as opportunities to learn and grow. While others see problems as the world coming down on us and preventing us from accomplishing the things we want.

The thing is, just because you’re in a tough season and are being tested with different obstacles, doesn’t mean that you aren’t meant for success or aren’t capable of receiving the desires you wish and pray for.

This blog is a PSA to remind you that no matter what you may think or feel, no one is perfect.

No one has every single part of their life figured out. No one prioritizes every life category in a single season. So give yourself some grace when you feel bad for not having it all figured out.

I bring this up to you because this week’s episode is about procrastination and more often than not, we’re procrastinating in one of the life categories.

You could be doing great in some categories and lagging in others but overall, we all procrastinate. The purpose of this episode is to help you realize what life category you’re procrastinating in and how you can take steps towards making it a priority.

Our Top 5 Parenting Tips!

Sep 28, 2021

Being parents to three girls is a HUGE part of our lives that we’ve shared on the podcast before. Recently we just celebrated a milestone of sending two of our daughters off to college (one in Scotland) and we’ve been asked by so many of our friends, “how it feels,” and “if we’re sad”?

Truthfully, there’s no sadness at ALL. Of course we will miss them and our house will feel a little bit more empty but the reality is, sending your kids off into the world without you is a part of life.

We truly believe that our job as parents is to prepare and equip them for the outside world so they can experience life outside our home and handle the challenges that life throws at them.

This week we’re sharing the top five parenting tips that we’ve followed over the years in the hopes that if you have kids or when you do, that you’ll be able to give them the tools and guidance they’ll need to succeed without you holding their hand.

Here’s a breakdown of what Eddie and I discussed…

Fact is, every single of us at some point in our lives is going to experience imposter syndrome.

If you don’t know what imposter syndrome is then let me enlighten you.

Imposter syndrome is the inability to see how GOOD you actually are because you’re blinded by the idea that you don’t belong.

We experience this especially when we enter into a new level of our lives or a place that feels unfamiliar. Whether that’s in our careers, or in business, it’s easy to fall into the belief that you don’t belong.

Just know that it’s completely normal and it doesn’t make you incapable of experiencing success or accomplishing your big goals and dreams. If anything, it means you’re a human who’s looking to GROW and friend that’s an amazing thing.

Here’s a breakdown of what Eddie and I discussed…

  • What in the world question: Is catcalling really effective? (01:38)
  • What is imposter syndrome? (11:24)
  • Don't suffer from imposter syndrome; use it to research and learn (16:37)
