Feel like a fraud? How to overcome imposter syndrome!

Fact is, every single of us at some point in our lives is going to experience imposter syndrome.

If you don’t know what imposter syndrome is then let me enlighten you.

Imposter syndrome is the inability to see how GOOD you actually are because you’re blinded by the idea that you don’t belong.

We experience this especially when we enter into a new level of our lives or a place that feels unfamiliar. Whether that’s in our careers, or in business, it’s easy to fall into the belief that you don’t belong.

Just know that it’s completely normal and it doesn’t make you incapable of experiencing success or accomplishing your big goals and dreams. If anything, it means you’re a human who’s looking to GROW and friend that’s an amazing thing.

When I first started my career in consumer electronics I knew absolutely NOTHING about electronics, let alone how to lead a team to sell them.

So what did I do? On my day off, I went to our competitor at the time and learned everything I needed to know about all things electronics.

I took control of my imposter syndrome by doing the research, taking notes, and seeking out help.

The same thing happened to me when I started my bakery, The Cake Mamas. I had ZERO experience in the restaurant/food industry.

The only thing I knew about the food industry was that I love to eat it! So again, I had to get resourceful, do the research, and make it happen until I proved to myself that I did belong in that space.

I hope this episode empowers you to go get that seat at that table because you’re so deserving of it. Don’t let your belief that you have to be at a certain level stop you from doing BIG things in life and in your career.
