Katelyn has been baking up a storm since her first lemon cake with pink sprinkles on her 11th birthday! Now as a 21 year old, Katelyn has a degree in entrepreneurship and nearly 100K followers on Instagram! With her contagious, fun, and outgoing energy, Katelyn has made Sweet Kate Bakery, a tasty, unique, and beautiful business and community!

Along with managing a busy kitchen and spending hours on her creation process, she now coaches business owners on how to grow their own social media platforms and build their confidence!

We got together this week to discuss the power of having confidence and accepting imperfections can drive your business through content creation!

From our experience we’ve found that building confidence comes down to practice and preparation. When you prepare for whatever it is you’re doing; whether that’s an interview or a tutorial video, or cooking a recipe, you’re building the confidence to attempt whatever it is you’re doing. Whereas with practice, by continually putting yourself out there and being open to feedback and being vulnerable you’re able to experiment and figure out what works and what doesn’t. Practice doesn’t make perfect. Practice makes PROGRESS!
