Uncomfortable Conversation With The Copelands!

This was an episode I was reluctant to record but our team, my friends, my followers, have been telling me I have to talk about it so Eddie decided to hit record and now we’re here.

This week’s episode is about the tragedy that happened at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th and it’s an uncomfortable conversation but it’s a conversation that I have to have with my children, my husband; and it’s a conversation I hope you have with your family and loved ones.

First, let me just say that some of you may not like the conversation that we have during this episode. You might feel offended, you might feel attacked, and you may not ever want to listen to the PUSH Podcast again, but as a mother of three black daughters, the wife to a black husband; I can’t sit back and let this narrative continue about Black people in America without speaking my truth.

Eddie and I are frustrated, disgusted, and just pissed off with what has been happening and what it means for our country, our democracy, and our families. To be honest, I just don’t understand WHY the people who have supported him can’t denounce him? Why can't they acknowledge his wrong doings? How can they willingly be on the wrong side of history? It honestly just blows my mind.

If you get anything from this episode, I just hope it triggers you to have a conversation with your friends and families about what this tragedy means for our country.
