Is it just me or am I the only who is so damn UNMOTIVATED?

Over the past few months of quarantine, I’ve been slacking. I haven’t been my normal self and I think I know why. Regardless of the fact that we were basically FORCED to stay inside here in California, (not complaining)  I realized that when I’m thrown off of my routine, I fall off course.

When I have no structure, when I have no restrictions, I do whatever the hell I want and I lose track of what my goals and intentions are moving forward.

Be honest, as I’m sitting here writing this blog post, I don’t even feel like doing this! So bad I know…

BUT hey, I’m making progress. I’m here. I’m writing this blog post. And I’m PUSHING through the lack of motivation I have because I know that pushing forward is going to result in greater blessings and accomplishments for the year.

On this week's PUSH I got real about my lack of motivation, how I’m managing through it and the fact that I deserve a little bit of grace here and there.

Here’s a breakdown of what Eddie and I discussed…

  • How slipping out of our routine has affected our motivation (14:09)
  • The psychology behind our habits and choices on our health, food, and fitness (18:52)
  • Having purpose and intention to drive your goals around fitness and health (28:08)
  • Being graceful of our current circumstances, but not making excuses for our habits (29:35)
  • Goal setting for the remaining period of the year (31:33)
  • Why restrictive behaviors are necessary to achieve your goals (32:38)
  • Setting restrictive guidelines around your health, finances and time (35:51)
  • Setting goals that inspire you and restrictions you are happy to make (40:19)
  • Plotting and tracking your progress towards your goal (44:53)

I want to remind you that offering yourself some grace is fine, but let it be known that “giving yourself grace” isn’t an excuse to maintain bad habits. When you recognize a toxic cycle, you’ve gotta get to a point where you're able to acknowledge it and move forward.

That’s what I did and I hope after listening to this week’s episode, you can find your AH-HA moment too!

Happy Listening!

We’re glad you were enlightened with the episode and were moved enough to think about how you could have a similar discussion with your kids. Thanks for listening and keep on pushing!
