When it comes to running your business, there is NOTHING more important than having vision.
And that means knowing WHAT YOU WANT and going after it.
Now of course when I talk about what you want you immediately think of NEEDING MORE. You may be saying, “Janelle, I want more customers and more revenue.”
But “MORE” is just a word until you put a NUMBER to it. And it means something different for everyone. So, when you’re asking the universe for “more”, you need to be specific about the results that you wanna see, and then find ways to make those goals come to life.
One of the things we go into inside my Bake Your Way To Six Figures workshop is how important it is to be clear about your EXPECTATIONS. And putting an attainable NUMBER to my goals has given me the control and INTENTIONALITY that I needed to crush them, and become the BOSS of my business, not just an employee of it.

I NEVER get tired of telling people that knowing your NUMBERS are what’ll keep your business alive and THRIVING (I just LOVE MATH).
It’s great to pay attention to your product. But remember, spending all your time perfecting your products won’t get you sh*t because no matter how AMAZING your products are, they’re not going to sell themselves. And to get your pricing right, and start making the money YOU DESERVE (and dream of) you need to get your hands dirty and know every little detail about your costs down to the cent.
I know that in the beginning you’re kinda forced to do all the things on your own (especially if you’re baking from home or just starting your own brick and mortar). But what multi-million dollar business can you think of that is run by just ONE PERSON? None right??? So, why would you expect the same of your own! I know that there is a scarcity around seeking help. You’re worried they're gonna steal your recipes, or that you won’t have the money to pay them, or they’ll leave you high and dry. Not gonna lie, it MAY happen. But you have to stop trying to be the “boss babe” solopreneur who’s got it all figured out because you never will happen. The only thing that will happen is you feeling OVERWORKED, OVERWHELMED, BURNOUT and RESENTING your business.
Here’s the truth, friend: As you grow, you’re going to need help if you want to have a PROFITABLE and SCALABLE business. This could be someone handling calls for orders and inquiries, or even someone to put on an apron and get behind the counter WITH you. This way you’re not only saving time and money in the long run, but you’re also saving yourself from BURNOUT.
That means that everything you do in your business makes a statement ABOUT your business. So, of course you want to be known for your amazing products but it’s about more than that.
Everything makes a difference - a review left by a customer, what they tell their friends about your product, what rooms people are talking about your business in, how forgettable or unique your BRAND is, what you specialize in, who you serve, and all that good stuff.
So, think of every interaction people have of your business, as an opportunity to market your business and REALLY show up for it.
